must be the happiest kid I know. He runs out from school everyday and almost always has a smile on his face.

Superbowl food
okay, so we didn't actually watch the super bowl, but we managed to make some yummy super bowl snacks. Boneless buffalo wings, homemade chicken taquitos and fried cheese. You can't go wrong with fried finger foods. I wish I had taken some pics but we were starving after fast Sunday and didn't want to wait around. The boneless wings were from two peas and their pod.

Would you play for Chick-fil-a?
Chick-fil-a on campus. I'm totally with him!! I love Chick-fil-a. When we first moved to Houston one of the things I was most excited about were all the chick-fil-a's because Idaho Falls didn't have one. Every chance I got I ate at chick-fil-a and I still do. Love it, love it, love it!!

Marshall's Grandmother Passed Away
Sunday. She was 86 years old. She lived in Toronto, Canada and will be buried there today. It's too bad that it is so far away. Marshall has a lot of memories from serving his mission in her area and being able to go to her home a couple of times for dinner. It is hard living so far from grandparents. You feel like you hardly know them, but he has always been grateful for that short time he got to see her.
My new favorite blog
is Two Peas and their Pod. You should check it out if you like cooking. We made the soft pretzel bites, which were so good, and the twix caramel popcorn, which was so sweet that it gave everyone a stomach ache! They are actually a couple from Utah.
Samantha, Amy and I were looking at some of the older posts from our blog last week and it made me want to start blogging more. It was so fun to go back through and look at our short time in Texas, and especially the beach. They also started going through our food blog and Samantha asked me to start posting on it again. They liked reading about what we were eating and who made what. She wants to make all the food on it again and take pictures to post with the recipes. I really need to learn a thing or two about food photography before I tackle that.

Our other computer
stopped working and it is the one that has all my photos on it. I have some on my camera that i need to download to this computer, but I have to install the program first and I'm being kind of lazy. So instead, I thought I would share this pic Samantha took on her iphone.
Eggs Benedict. I thought it turned out pretty good, and the food did too. We watched Julie and Julia last week (one of my favs) and Samantha had been telling me for a while she wanted to learn to poach an egg. I was trying to think of a way to make a quick dinner Saturday night and was thinking of doing eggs when I figured we could try poaching them. One thing led to another, and Marshall is the least laziest person I know, so he agreed to go to the store and get some English Muffins and Canadian bacon. My hollandaise sauce sat a little too long and was kind of thick, but it really turned out well. When I asked Marshall to please get out some nicer plates to set the table, he went all the way, set out my crystal wine glasses, got out some sparkling cider, and lit candles. What a fun evening. Then we all watched Captain America. Luckily Marshall and I share similar taste in movies, so we all really enjoyed it.
