Preference Dress Shopping

We found the best place to rent dresses in Sandy called One Stop Dress Shop. The owner runs it out of her home and has the best dresses. Here are all the options. Of course sleeves would need to be added.

 And this was the winner. I don't have her formal pictures, I just snapped this one as she was running out the door. She looked amazing (thanks Megan for doing her hair). She had a great time.

Kearns Holiday Open

Even though he only swam 5 of the 8 events, Scott still managed to swim well enough to get 8th place overall. He was pretty excited.

Samantha and Amy love to do photo shoots, where Samantha takes the pics and Amy models. This time they got Scott in on it.

Christmas 2013

Amy and Marshall spent some time in the snow making snowmen. Scott's snow fort is in the back, Marshall's snowman was a little big and ended up looking like a bear rather than Mickey Mouse. Amy's is the cute little one behind her.

 Christmas morning came early. Scott set his alarm for 4 am so he could open his stocking. I heard Amy get up around 4:30 and Samantha around 5. Marshall and I got up at 5:30 and the opening of gifts began.

 Scott wanted some cowboys and Indians, which we couldn't find anywhere. Amy found this log cabin set that had some of the figures in it.

 The perfect jeans. She was pretty excited to get them. We had to order them online to get them long enough and were lucky to get them before Christmas.

Halloween 2013

Scott at the ward party ready to break open one of the individual pinatas Marshall made. He made 94. Yeah, don't ask. He promised this would be the last year he made them.

 Marshall and I were in charge of Scott's class party at school. We decorated and played games, had lots of treats and a big pinata for the class. They loved it and thought it was the best party they've ever had.

 I also had a Halloween party for my swim group. They had a lot of fun and were so glad they didn't have to get in the pool for once and do a workout.  Again we had lots of treats to go along with the pigs in blankets.

Turning 40

Scott took these pics on my iphone. The flames from the candles were awfully bright this year. I must say that I wasn't excited about turning 40, but I did make myself a great dinner. Brisket, mashed potatoes, cole slaw and cornbread. I ended it with a perfectly baked key lime cheesecake. They actually had key limes at the grocery store so it was extra yummy. I got an arm band for my iphone and new head phones that Samantha and Amy are not allowed to steal from me, and a new running outfit. That Saturday we went to Ruby River with my family. Amy and I split some prime rib and I got a cute new outfit from my parents and siblings. Everything I needed. So, even though I'm 40 I will be stylishly dressed whether going out or running. I'm running faster right now than I ever had and a lot further too, but I still don't think i'll attempt another marathon. But that's in the future. I think for now I'll just enjoy where I am.
