This picture was taken

for a stake church activity. They wanted to show women serving others, and since they know i like to cook, they took one of me feeding my family. Luckily they cropped it for the presentation so you couldn't see the dryer, or Scott making a weird face. The lady asked me about an hour before dinner time, but i had luckily started early so it was ready and then kitchen was clean.

Samantha ran a 5K

for the first time on Saturday. That's 3.1 miles. She did a really great job. She didn't get her time, but they'll post it in a week or so and then I'll post it. Remembering my first 5K when I was 8, i told her to be careful not to take it out too fast. Well, it's hard to hold back when you're excited and don't really know how far 3 miles actually is. I just let her go figuring the first couple of races are so you can learn how to run it. We caught up to her at the 1 1/2 mile mark and she was very surprised to find out because she thought she was almost done. Marshall ran with her for a minute and then we ran ahead and let her do it on her own. I didn't see her finish, but she was pretty close behind us i think. I was impressed with how well she did and with how she was able to push through. We're going to do it again in a few weeks. As for my race, I ran slower than the first time we ran it this summer, only i didn't throw up after. As an excuse though, i have been cramping up all over my body all week. My legs, feet, sides, etc. and not just while I'm running, but when I'm doing nothing. And I've been really sore, though i haven't done anything different. I'm not sure what's going on, but hopefully it goes away soon. I definitely need more potassium and magnesium. Yuck!! I hate taking vitamins and refuse to eat bananas.

Wunderlich Farm

is right next to Samantha's school. The 4th grade does their field trip there (i'm going with Amy next week) and they also open to the public one Saturday a month. I'd been curious about it ever since we moved here so we visited a few weeks ago. I especially liked the school house, and you have to have a picture of the outhouse!

Samantha was excited to see the butter churn. She has been wanting to make butter forever. I guess i should finally let her.
Scott being naughty.
Amy being nice.
