This

is what I drove from Idaho Falls to Spring, Texas. It took us 3 days. And there was a trailor behind it pulling one of our cars. I felt like throwing up everyday and I was so glad when we got here.

I snapped this picture in Loveland, Colorado. we were all still happy at that point. Our Bishop drove from Idaho Falls to Loveland and then drove back home with his wife who was visiting her mother. It was so nice of him and he put together books of road trip games for the kids. Amy especially loved playing the license plate game. For the two days that I had to drive we got 2 way radios to stay in contact and the kids loved playing with them. It was a good trip and we made it without any problems. Samantha also discovered there is an American Girl doll store in Dallas. Dallas is about 3 1/2 hours from here, so we'll have to plan a day in Dallas soon. I especially want to go to a cowboys football game in the fall. Tomorrow I think we'll be able to move into our house. I'll have to post pictures. We are leasing it with an option to buy, hoping our house in IF sells soon.

Saying good-bye

Samantha and her swim friend Emilee. They were best friends on the swim team and worked out so well together. They are both hard workers and good swimmers.
Amy and Jane. She was so cute. I love good kids.
Amy and Rebecca. We just found out the other day that Rebecca's basement caught on fire and there is nothing left. They had so much cool stuff in their basement and some of it is irreplaceable. They are going to stay in our house until they get theirs repaired. She is the daughter of Barbara Miller of the ravioli press fame.
Scott was so sad to leave Mitchell. He was only our neighbor for a short time before we moved, but he and Scott loved to play together and they got along really well. I hope he finds a good friend like that here.

Scott Had a Mother's Day Program

at school before we moved. He did such a good job. And even though his speech is a little harder to understand, this time he was the easiest because he spoke really loud and the other kids were quiet.

Each of the mothers received a hand print of their kindergartner. I love it. He's so cute.

Know what this is?

No? It's a ravioli press. That's right. My neighbor and friend Barbara Miller (Yes, she has the same name as my sister) found it at a yard sale and picked it up for me. I am so excited! I can't wait to make ravioli with it. Why would someone get rid of something this great!

I was also going to take a picture of the carrot cake cupcakes Samantha made the other day. click here for the recipe. They were from scratch and very good. When I went to get them out of the refrigerator downstairs, they were gone. The container was still there, but totally empty. Then as I was loading the pics from my camera I saw these little gems.

I had forgotten about them. In fact, I can't remember what they are called, but it is essentially a short bread crust with apple pie filling. Samantha was bored one day and wanted to make something. She found the recipe in a children's cookbook my mom gave her years ago and substituted the pie filling we had in our freezer, another gift from Barbara Miller, for the jam. They were pretty good. And I wonder why I've been gaining weight. I never should have taught the girl to cook. Oh, she took the picture too.
