Samantha took

these pictures. She loves to get my camera out and play around with it. She's hoping that she will be able to take a photography class in junior high. That trampoline has been the best thing we have ever bought. Amy, especially, loves it. Just like when we would go to swim meets and she would spend the entire time in the cool down pool, she spends all her free time on the tramp. It's so awesome. I am so glad the weather has started warming up.

Our neighbors have a dog, Angel, that loves to play in our yard. My kids love to play with her, and Amy even took a picture of her to school for pet day. I know, it's sad, but there is no way they are getting a pet any time soon, unless we can figure something out with Scott's allergies.

Scenes

from Idaho Falls. We took our Frostys downtown yesterday and walked around the river. We took a few pictures. I still need to stop at the round-about and get one of Michael's favorite fountain. You'll see why it's his favorite.

Cooking with Samantha

is always fun. Usually she and Amy are more than willing to help out in the kitchen if they are not playing with friends. This week, Samantha requested taco salad for dinner. We decided to fry the tortillas flat so it would be easier. Samantha thought it was the coolest thing ever and she quickly took over.

We served them topped with taco meat, cheese, lettuce, a drizzle of homemade ranch on the lettuce and guacamole. They were really good. Every once in a while, I feel like a good mom. Here she is with the finished tortillas. Not bad huh?

A couple of things

I like. My friend Leslie has an etsy store. You should check it out here. Cute stuff. Also linen spray by delechable. Try the cherry blossom. I love it on our sheets, and the coconut lemongrass is awesome too.

For Easter

we did a cake competition on Saturday. Boys against girls. It was Samantha's idea. Which do you like best? The top one is a coconut cake from scratch with cream cheese frosting. This one is a red velvet castle with pudding and chocolate frosting.

Our kids were pretty excited to get up this morning and find Easter baskets. They weren't expecting anything.

Our Easter dinner was good. Ham, potato salad, asparagus, corn, devilled eggs, grandma's jell-o and of course, cake. We had an egg hunt afterwards. I took a few pictures of the kids. Samantha snapped one of me. Marshall was still at the church when we took the pictures and then we didn't pull the camera back out. I was hoping to get a family picture, but I'll have to do that another time.

Tonight we dyed Easter eggs and played games. We had a fun day together. Samantha took these pictures. I was on the phone with my mom. Her birthday is tomorrow. Am I allowed to say how old she is? Hmmm, maybe I'll skip that part.

Back to my old post...

It's been 14 years since we were married. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We had met in Biology class at UVSC. I was a very bad influence on him and got him to skip class a lot by taking him out to lunch. He had never had a girlfriend pay for dates so I think he was intrigued. Regardless, I am so glad that I married him. It has been quite a ride these last 14 years, not all of it good, but I am very thankful that I don't have to do it alone. Here's to the next 14!

Okay, so I totally wish

that I wouldn't have deleted my old blog. I'm very sad about it. I need to take some time to fix this one up, but who has time?

Yesterday was mine and Marshall's 14th anniversary. Yay us! I'll have to scan in some pictures of us in earlier years, but for now I have things to do.

I Had To Delete

our blog and restart a new one. For some reason it had me signing in using Samantha's e-mail address, and it was annoying, so here is the new one.
